• ACCOMMODATION POLICY

Check in and check out: Standard check-in time is  2:00 PM, and check out time is 10am and check-out time is 10:00 AM,

Noise: Tewodros Belay International Hotel is a serene and welcoming venue where guests come to relax and enjoy our hospitality. Excessive noise is not tolerated, especially after 10:00 PM. Management reserves the right to terminate any reservation without refund in the event of unacceptable noise levels or disturbances.

Smoking: Tewodros Belay International Hotel maintains a strict non-smoking policy inside all rooms and indoor spaces. Cleaning fees will apply if this policy is breached. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available — please consult our staff upon check-in.

Alcohol (BYO): As Tewodros Belay International Hotel is fully licensed, outside (BYO) alcohol is not permitted to be consumed on the hotel premises.

Restaurant Closures: Our restaurant observes closures on select national holidays, including Ethiopian Christmas (January 7) and Easter Sunday. Please check with reception for specific dates.

Damage: Guests are liable for any damages or additional cleaning caused by themselves or their party during their stay. The hotel reserves the right to charge your card on file for such incidents.

COVID- 19 CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS

Tewodros Belay International Hotel remains committed to flexibility for guests affected by health-related disruptions, regardless of how the booking was made. 

If your travel plans are impacted by COVID-19-related restrictions or symptoms: You may reschedule your stay within 12 months, subject to availability. Alternatively, you may request a voucher equal to the value paid, valid for 3 years from the date of cancellation. 

If a guest within your party is showing symptoms close to arrival, we may allow a one-time penalty-free amendment, again subject to availability. 

We reserve the right to refuse entry or service to a guest displaying COVID-19 like symptoms at check-in. No refund of any amounts paid will be made and you are responsible for your costs or expenses that may arise. In no event shall The Tewodros Belay Hotel be liable for any loss of any nature arising out of such an event. 

PAYMENT POLICY

Please be advised that a 1.75% credit card surcharge is applicable to VISA & Mastercard payments, and 3% for AMEX & Diners card only. 

Full pre-payment of the reservation will be required and charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking. 

By providing your credit card details you authorise Tewodros belay Hotel Addis Ababa to charge the nominated credit card for the amount of your stay as well as any additional services rendered or goods consumed in room, and/or from our restaurant and bar.

CANCELLATION/AMENDMENT/ REFUND POLICY

We are a boutique hotel and cancellations affect us significantly. 

In the event of a normal booking amendment or cancellation, guests are entitled to an amendment or refund of their booking deposit UNLESS one of the following applies:

• Where a booking is amended or cancelled after 5pm 7 days prior to the arrival date, the booking will not be amended or refunded.

No amendment or refund will be granted in the event a guest does not arrive for their booking or amends or cancels on the date of their booking.

In the unlikely event that you must amend or cancel your reservation, the amendment or cancellation must be made 7 days prior to the arrival date, with a confirmation email to be obtained. If an amendment or cancellation confirmation email is not received, the booking remains in effect.

All cancellation charges will be processed using the credit card used by you to make the booking. All refunds will be processed within 14 days.

GENERAL

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Addis Ababa. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of the Terms & Conditions, which will continue in full force and effect.

GROUP BOOKINGS

The Tewodros Belay Hotel Addis Ababa offers Exclusive-Use options tailored for special occasions, small conference gatherings, incentive functions and other events. Our restaurant, seats up to 60 guests and offers a la carte or tailored degustation dining options featuring the best local produce. 

Offering a versatile and inviting venue, our 23 stylishly curated rooms, and spacious meeting room, positions it as the address to be in Addis Ababa for that intimate gathering or to reconnect with colleagues. 

All Exclusive Use requests must be made in writing directly to The Tewodros Belay Hotel Addis Ababa. The Tewodros Belay reserves the right and full discretion to refuse Group Bookings & Exclusive Use requests altogether. Exclusive Use Terms & Conditions will be supplied individually.
